11/5 Mennonite Relief Benefit Auction Enid OK
Auction Date / Time
Starts ending Nov 5th at 6PM Softclose
The Oklahoma Mennonite Relief Sale is a long held tradition of Amish, Mennonite, Mennonite Brethren and Brethren in Christ churches of Oklahoma gathering to sell foods, quilts and crafts to raise funds for worldwide relief from various hardships. This year the funds raised in Oklahoma will help provide clean water to those in need worldwide. Water is a basic need of all people and one in ten do not have access to clean, safe water.
Due to Covid-19 concerns, the large gathering has been replaced this year by several smaller events including this on-line auction of quilts, crafts and sample baskets with food and other items. A few items have been designated as “Buy it Now” and can be purchased till Oct 30th at 3PM. If they do not sell at the marked price they will remain in the auction.
All auction items will be available for inspection at Enid MB Church, 2500 N. Van Buren, Enid, OK on October 25, from 3-5 pm. All items are sold “as-is”. Weights and measurements listed are approximate to the best of our ability. Health precautions will be exercised at the preview where other items including crafts and many of the favorite foods will be for sale including peppernuts, noodles, applebutter, pies and breads (while supplies last). The popular “people’s choice” quilt voting will be held at the preview and announced on the Facebook page. Other also events will be posted on the Oklahoma Mennonite Relief Sale Facebook page. Mennonite Central Committee is celebrating 100 years in service this year. A commemorative glazed pottery pitcher was made for each state sale and will be offered on the auction.
A 10% buyers premium will be added to the bid to cover the cost of the sale. Most items can be packaged and shipped at the buyer’s expense. Some items are marked “pick up only” and are not eligible to be shipped. Pick up will be at Enid MB Church, 2500 N. Van Buren, Enid, OK on November 6 from 5-7 pm and November 7 from 9-11 am.
